About Me
Hey; surprised anyone even wants to read this! I have some links in the top right, linkedin, git, youtube, etc. I started doing this like a lot of people my age in the early 90's. Technology was always fun, from digdug and building IBM clones the idea of computers and tech in general swept me away.
Around 2007-ish I started getting more into it. It started with bypassing school security systems in middle school, after a few detentions and a computer science class I picked up some C++. I forgot most of it and setting up Borland C++ was a pain. I wasn't discouraged though and started to move further into hardware. Specifically firmware and bios modifications. It ended up being a big passion of mine and a few years later I picked it up as a career. Mostly side jobs for friends and family before finally taking a job at Bestbuy. While that only lasted a few years I left to pursue a few more contracting jobs before finally picking up a roll as a tech in a local PC repair shop.
Almost a decade went by and after moving up through the ranks was promoted to CIO; though I was still very much wearing the Architect hat. Since then, A few FAANG companies later, some data center experience, and various rolls from, sysadmin, devops, engineer, architect, CIO I started to get my groove. I picked up a few languages, and led some pretty big projects. I felt at home staying close to the hardware; though this time I was building and testing infrastructure to modifying firmware. Automation is really fun along with virtualization I cut my teeth on a few higher level languages while dabbling occasionally in lower level ones. I currently do my best or worst work depending on who you ask in C#.
